THE DBH 10K Contest
One year ago DesignByHumans.com launched into the t-shirt design world with our inaugural $5,000 kickoff contest. Out of hundreds of entries one winner snatched the Grand Prize of $5,000.
We owe a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported DBH over the last year and to show our gratitude we are kicking off year 2 with The DBH 10K! - a winner take all contest where one artist will win $10,000 cash!
Grand Prize:
One winner of The DBH 10K will receive $10,000 cash and will have their winning design printed in 3 color options on the coveted DBH Fabric Edition custom tee and sold at designbyhumans.com.
When:
DBH is currently accepting design submissions through August 29, 2008 at midnight PDT. Design submissions must be entered through our online submission form and must conform to the general design submission terms to qualify for entry. Late submissions will not be accepted, no exceptions.
Design Guidelines:
In addition to our general rules and guidelines, Designs are also subject to the following:
- The design(s) must be an original work created and owned by the entrant.
- Designs can use both the front and back of the T-shirt and may contain oversizing and mixed-media elements.
- Designs are limited to 14 colors and may be oversized. Let your creativity run free.
- If your design is selected you will be required to submit the winning design in high- resolution (at least 300 dpi at actual size or vector based) and in three color combinations for production.

Selection Process:
The DBH staff will announce the top 10 semifinalists on September 8, 2008 at DesignByHumans.com. Semifinalists will be chosen based on a variety of factors including originality, creativity, ingenuity, votes*, and the artist's efforts to promote their design.
Top 10 Semifinalists
Sept 8th - Sept 14th (Midnight, PDT)
Once the top 10 semifinalists have been announced on September 8th, all of the votes received by these 10 designs up to that point will be reset to zero. The 10 semifinalists will then compete against one another for an additional week to see which 5 designs will continue on to the final week of voting. The 5 finalists will be chosen solely on vote count.
Top 5 Finalists
Sept 15th - Sept 21st (Midnight, PDT)
The top 5 finalists will again have all of their votes reset to zero and will then go head-to-head for one final week of voting.
Winner Announced on Sept 22nd
The design with the most votes at the end of the Top 5 Finals week will be declared the winner and will be awarded $10,000 cash! The winning design will be produced in 3 color options (on 3 different shirt colors) and sold in the DBH store the following week.
*Suspected fraudulent votes will be immediately deleted, including votes placed with sequential human ID's or bogus accounts. DBH will use its sole discretion to remove votes.
