THE DBH 10K Contest 2009
DBH is turning 2! To celebrate and to thank you all for 2 amazing years, we are excited to announce our 2nd annual DBH 10K Contest! That's right - 10K - as in TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to one winning artist!
Details and Prizes
Submission are now being accepted through July 26, 2009 (Midnight PDT). All contest submissions must be entered through our online submission form and must conform to the DBH Contest Terms and Conditions in order to qualify for entry. Artists may enter multiple submissions. Late submissions will not be accepted, no exceptions.
Grand Prize: $10,000 USD
First Runner-Up: $1,000 USD
Second Runner-Up: $1,000 USD
Third Runner-Up: $1,000 USD
Fourth Runner-Up: $1,000 USD
Design Guidelines
In addition to our general rules and guidelines, Designs are also subject to the following:
- The design(s) must be an original work created and owned by the entrant.
- Designs can use both the front and back of the T-shirt and may contain oversized and mixed-media elements.
- Designs may contain up to 14 colors, including halftones and gradients.
- If your design is selected you will be required to submit the winning design in high-resolution (at least 300 dpi at actual size).

Selection Process
The DBH staff will announce the top 20 finalists on August 3, 2009. The top 20 finalists will be chosen based on a variety of factors including originality, creativity, ingenuity, votes*, and the artist's efforts to promote their design. Once the top 20 finalists are announced, their votes will be reset to zero and they will then compete against each other for an additional week of voting.
Top 20 Finalist Voting Period
August 3rd - 9th (Midnight, PDT)
On August 10, 2009 the top 10 finalists will be announced. The top 10 finalists will be determined solely on vote totals* from the previous week's voting period. Once the top 10 finalists are announced, their votes will again be reset to zero and they will go head-to-head for one final week of voting.
Top 10 Finalist Voting Period
August 10th - 16th (Midnight, PDT)
On August 17, 2009 the final four finalists will be announced. The their votes will again be reset to zero and they will go head-to-head one last time to see who will be the 2009 DBH 10K champion.
The Final Four Voting Period
August 17th - 23rd (Midnight, PDT)
The DBH 10K Grand Prize Winner and Runners-Up will be determined solely on vote count* and will be announced as follows:
Aug. 31, 2009 - Fourth Runner-Up - $1,000 USD
Sep. 1, 2009 - Third Runner-Up - $1,000 USD
Sep. 2, 2009 - Second Runner-Up - $1,000 USD
Sep. 3, 2009 - Grand Prize - $10,000 USD
Sep. 4, 2009 - First Runner-Up - $1,000 USD
The Grand Prize Winner and four Runners-Up will be available for purchase in our online store on the day they are announced as winners.
*Suspected fraudulent votes will be immediately deleted, including but not limited to votes placed with sequential human ID's or bogus accounts. DBH will use its sole discretion to remove votes.
